Is it okay to get pregnant 6 month pp?

Question

I would like my babies close in age. I'm healthy and active but of course that's on the outside. I don't know if my insides are fully healed from my previous pregnancy but I assume the would be by now, right?
Edit: I was induced because my waters broke with 0 contractions like 9 hours later.  I had a vaginal birth that went smooth. My pregnancy was fine.

Its recommended to wait 18-24m between births to have another. I got pregnant 11.5mpp and it was extremely rough on my body even though i had a very active lifestyle

It is HIGHLY recommended not to get pregnant again after previous delivery until 18m pp at minimum. Wanting them close in age doesn’t justify the risks it would be conceiving too soon after birth.

Only your healthcare provider can tell you that  the recommendations from major organizations is 18m, I believe. That doesn't mean everyone isn't ready until 18m, and there's are people whose bodies probably still aren't ready by 18m, it's an average. Your doctor/midwife can tell you how your iron levels and other levels.
I'm having my third back to back pregnancy. The second pregnancy was planned and my oldest 2 are 18m apart. It wasn't an easy pregnancy, but neither was my first. My midwife assured me it was safe for me and baby, my levels were good, and it was fine. This baby wasn't planned and will be 18m younger than my second baby. It has been a really hard pregnancy. My body wasn't ready this time.

So they recommend waiting 12-24 months especially if you have a csection. However lots of women get pregnant before then. My baby is almost 8 months and I’m currently 14 weeks with a surprise baby. We’re looking at a 13 month age gap.

Trying to find the link but there’s a new study that came out recently stating if you’re healthy there’s really no reason to wait more than 6 months between pregnancies. But of course it is different for every woman and should be a conversation with your doctor.

That's a conversation for you and your doctor as everyone is different. Depends how your birth was. My mum has 4 kids in a row each year and we're the best of friends. I tried but breastfeeding was a contraception so my children will be exactly 2 years apart (same due date).

My hips are still trying to resolve the first baby 9 months ago...I can't imagine it sooner 🙈
But like the other commenter said, discuss it with your doctor as everyone is different.

The recommendation is 18 months birth to birth minimum. But that being said many women get pregnant sooner. I got pregnant with #2 when #1 was 7 months. They’re 16 months apart. Started trying for #3 when #2 was 11 months.

It’s recommended to wait longer but lots of people have them sooner me being one I have two girls 16 months apart a seven month old boy and am five and a half months pregnant with another boy they will be 12 months apart am not the fittest person in the world but I feel great I don’t have no symptoms with boys just tired and hungry am 36 aswell so not young either I love having my baby’s close together ❤️❤️💙💙

A girl I know had all her kids back to back she has 5, 4 boys and 1 girl. Damn near every time her 6 weeks was up and cleared to have sex she did and was pregnant. It’s totally up to you and your body. I plan on having my first and then my second 6 months to 1 year after.
