Small Postpartum Room!

Just did a tour of our hospital and learned that the postpartum room we'll be staying in for 3-4 days (because I'm having a cesarian) is tiny!  There's virtually no storage for our bags, no space to walk around.  I'm worried about visitors even being able to get around in the room.  It doesn't seem fire safe.  I'm going to pack as little as necessary, but how do you deal with this?!
