When is the best time to get a 4d scan?

I remember with my daughter I had my scan at 29 weeks. I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my son and I also have a anterior placenta this time. I've had soo many difficulties trying to get a decent scan picture. Is it best to get the scan done earlier?

I’m 32 weeks with an anterior placenta as well 🥰 I have my 3D scan today and I’m so excited!

I ended up having mine at around 32-34 weeks (can’t remember). I wanted it earlier but I had GDM so had a growth scan at 28 weeks and then had to go in for reduced movements at 31 weeks. Also, my partner had to self isolate after apparently coming into contact with someone who had Covid. I wish I’d gone sooner though. There wasn’t much space in there. The sonographer said the best time is around 26 weeks.

I believe the place we went to said 28-34 weeks. I’d recommend sooner than 34w bc if there’s less room in the womb, not guaranteed to get good images.. 34w our baby was head down facing my spine so after 30+ minutes and little walking around we got lucky enough to finally get some face shots 😅
