Opening a bank account

Am i allowed to bring the paper that u get when you take your id i dont know what its called i think its a ( temporary identification card) but im 17 and wont be receiving my id yet. When i go open my bank account will they let me if i show them proof of me getting an id ?there will be a picture of me on the paper. No this isnot a drivers license its a texas identification card which is an id
