First dr appt??

Question

So I am 7w 1d. I called an OB and they don't want to see me until 11 to 12 weeks... even when I was pregnant with my first I went in at 8 weeks. Then they're saying I won't get an ultrasound until 18 to 20 weeks! I have never had this experience. I am a high risk mama :/.

I’ve had 2 miscarriages. My most recent one was 5. months ago. Because I wanted to make sure my progesterone levels were normal I asked to be seen ASAP and they happily saw me that same day I called. (5 weeks 3 days) I’m sure if you push the issue they’ll see you for atleast blood work. While you’re there tell them you’d like to do your US at 8 weeks. You are in charge of how your pregnancy goes. If you’re not happy find a new OB. Your pregnancy deserves to be how you want it to be.

No if you’re high-risk you need to be seen earlier.￼￼ find another place.

I'm also high risk and see a high risk Dr they were not gonna see me till I was 12 weeks (which I was OK with) but want to see me at 8 weeks just as a see me for consultation but I don't think I need this as I've seen her with all my other babies. 
I think this is usually normal.
