It still hurts

I found out I was pregnant with my first in November 2020 then I suffered a miscarriage shortly after that in December. Yesterday I went to my doctor for my routine annual physical. When I was asked if there has been anything new within the last year… I burst into tears as I explained my loss in December. My doctor gave me a big hug, she apologized and she was so positive and reassuring. Time doesn’t stop for anyone, but it doesn’t make things like this hurt any less..
