Trash can solutions

How do you guys keep your babies room fresh? We have the change table and also the trash can in the babies room because we have nowhere else to put it. Our apartment is tiny. I bag all dirty diapers and we take the diaper trash out twice a week and I still feel like the room smells. Short of taking all dirty diapers outside every single day which is not convenient for us - any suggestions?? My sister in law stacks her poopy diapers in the garage in a box which to me is nasty. 🤮
