Newborn ammonia level high

My daughter is a week & 2 days old now her ammonia levels in her blood has been high . & the geneticist is trying to find out what’s causing it to be so high and it’s scary seeing my child on and iv and having to get poked so much and I’ve been trying to stay strong for her me and my husband we’ve been in the hospital for 2 days now she has to get put on protein free formula because the enfomil she’s on has protein in it but her body isn’t breaking down the protein how it’s suppose to . I’ve been crying and praying while my daughter and husband sleeps , praying that whatever this is goes away and doesn’t cause any harm to her . But I’m trying to get myself together for her
