We are having a disagreement on one of our names choices. My main reason is that I don't want people mispronouncing it constantly. It's Robert spelt backwards to honor his dad without using Robert

There are other ways to honor the name Robert without doing this.
You could use a variation like Rupert or anything else ending in -bert. You could also just pick another name starting with R. I could even see an anagram like Toby (not quite and anagram, but it’s close). Trebor just seems like you’re forcing the idea.
