FTM and need advice from the pros!! 💕

Here is the piece of furniture in question...

So I have started thinking about nursery ideas, recliners/gliders in particular. I really don't like the look or price tag on most of the sterile, office looking gliders/rocking chairs that I've been finding from various baby outlets. That said, I found this chair from an idea on pinterest and fell in love with it. However, it is just a standard accent chair with no rocking or swivel functions. Since baby will be staying in our room for a while, I didn't think we'd be using it a lot. That said, since I'm a FTM I wasn't sure if getting a chair without rocking or swivel function was an utter mistake that I'd forever regret? To add, I like the idea of this type of chair because I could put it in the entry way to our home or my bedroom once babes got a little bigger and we upgrade to a big girl room.

Thoughts? Suggestions? 🙏🏻🥰
