Stopping vitex berry cold turkey

Hi I was just wondering I was on vitex berry for a few months and had stopped taking it suddenly over the next three periods it got worse sharp cramps heavy bright red blood and the last month I bled like that for 7 days started my period again in one week same thing then had 3 days of spotting bright red in less than another week im going to the doctor in a month I just moved so I need to establish care but has anyone else had similar experience with stopping vitex cold turkey. Im wanting to start taking it again after I speak to doctor I stopped it due to large amount of stress and life changes I just didn’t make it a priority. Im exploring all options of why this occurred any advice would be appricated
