Test question

So I took a pregnancy test today and it said negative right away, I'm not due for my period til Sunday and I'm a bit disappointed. Should I just wait until my period is late? (fingers crossed ). The test I took was one that was supposed to tell you up to 4 days sooner. I'm just really wanting this, it's only our official second time trying but I really hope it took this time
