Jacking the holiday?

Does anyone think that announcing the gender on Christmas to our parents is trying to steal some of the holiday thunder? I originally thought it was going to be such a great idea, but now I think that I am over-thinking it. Any thoughts? We find out on the 21st

I don't think it's stealing any attention from the season. Christmas is a time to celebrate with family, what is better than celebrating your baby? Have fun!

I think that is completely up to you! I don't think it will steal the thunder at all. We find out on the 21st and we were going to wait until Christmas but I'm too impatient so we are revealing that night

We find out Dec 23rd and my Co worker is doing a small gender reveal at my job on Dec 24th for the most of us that are working! (We all leave at 1230) Then I am having it in my Christmas Cards that I am handing out on Christmas eve/day to my friends and family!
I think it just adds to the blessings and miracles of Christmas. Besides if you don't just announce it everyone will spend Christmas asking you anyways! Better to have an announcement to all then answer individually!

I don't think so. We are doing the same thing. My mother is getting a beautiful sun catcher with the grandchildrens name on it, and my husbands mother is getting and ornament for her tree.

I'm going to announce on Christmas too! I'm going to incorporate it in their gifts somehow. I think it will just give them more to celebrate!
