Stock up on diapers???

Question

Hey guys!! While you all were pregnant, did you stock up on diapers and wipes before you had them? I’m thinking of buying some every payday size 1, no newborn because everyone says they grow out of them quick! I only have 6 months left, so that wouldn’t be too many boxes. Also favorite brands? I’m thinking Huggies or pampers sensitive. Or also hello bello. Any input would be helpful! I had a miscarriage 2 years ago so I’m super excited for March to come around! And we find out the gender in 3 weeks 💓💓💓

I personally didn’t do it, and don’t understand why anyone does it.. diapers are always available in stores and online.. they are bulky and take so much room. 
And you never know how sensitive your baby’s skin is going to be. I hated Pampers because of their scent, Huggies leak, Target brand was too plasticky, so we ended up buying Honest diapers.

I buy a pack every month. I’m 20 weeks. Our local baby store allows you to exchange closed packs for bigger sizes or other brands. Pampers works very well for my son. So I bought pampers again.

Dont do it!  You can buy a big box of wipes which comes with like 9 packs in a box thats plenty!  Diapers are hard!  You might not like the brand, baby might have a reaction and they grow out of sizs quick!  They might grow out of newborn fast or they might be jn them for almost 3 months like my daughter was!  And if they hit a growth spurt n were born big already then the bigger size u buy wont last long!  Diapers last longer than a week so you really dont need to be stock piling them

I didn’t because I had a baby shower and got a lot of diapers. It was nice because that way I got to sample several different brands and decide what I liked/what agreed with baby’s skin. That being said, if I hadn’t of gotten a bunch of diapers at my shower I would have stocked up on some beforehand. Most stores let you exchange them for different sizes and even different brands. It’s a nice idea to be prepared and take advantage of some sales if you can!

I always stock up before baby comes. If your not sure what brand. Get a different kind in the small packs so you can make a choice. A diaper is a diaper, but  every diaper brand is going to fit different if your breast feeding I would go with huggies or hello bello.

Nope. I only got a box or 2 of newborn diapers and one size 1. Babies can be sensitive to certain diapers or you find you hate a particular kind. You can probably exchange down the road but I feel like that’s more of a hassle

I wouldn’t stock up. You may not like a particular brand or your little one’s skin may be sensitive to a particular brand. I’d personally start with one box. I found Huggies to have the fewest leaks.

I’ve been buying a pack here and there of larger sizes. I was hesitant to buy newborn diapers at all because I don’t know how big my baby is going to be at birth. Everyone told me to wait until my shower to buy diapers but then literally all we got was clothes 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did not stock up and I’m glad I didn’t. You really don’t know how long baby will be in each size! Quite a few people bought us size one diapers, and I ended up having to return multiple big boxes because our baby was not in size one very long. Oddly enough our baby was in newborn size for twice as long as he was in size one haha. Every baby is different though. 
Just as long as you have a small amount of newborn and some size one on hand, I wouldn’t recommend stocking up/buying a lot! They just took up space in the closet and you might have to return/exchange later
