Covid symptoms.
I just wanted to post my day-by-day symptoms as when I tested positive it was terrifying and very difficult to find any stories from actual people and not just the news. I tested positive on Sunday 29/08. That day I have been sneezing a lot and the smell of coffee made me slightly nauseous, I tested that night and sure enough was positive. As someone who’s often ill and has health anxiety my mind was racing and I was thinking the absolute worse from the get go. Day 2-6 I just had congestion and a bit of fatigue it honestly felt like a light cold for me. Day 7 I told both my taste and smell, but no other symptoms , right now at day 10, I can smell strong scents and taste the main flavours, sweet, sour, salty but not much beyond that. I’m 22 and unvaccinated, and very lucky to have gotten it so mildly, but the point of my post is please, do not stress and google too much if you test positive, as I did and my anxiety symptoms were worse than actual covid. Also before people ask, I haven’t been vaccinated as by the time it got to my age group in the UK which was around May time, I was hospitalised with tonsillitis for 2 weeks, a week after I finished my antibiotics from that infection I ended up catching it again in June and being hospitalised again. As soon as I finished that round of antibiotics, I found out I was pregnant 11th July and miscarried a couple weeks after that. And start of august I had a pretty bad cold which lasted 2 weeks and now covid, so I didn’t really have a chance to get vaccinated as my doctor advised against it. Hope this helps someone as even with a super weak immune system I managed to be ok. I know it’s not going to be the case for everyone, but the point of this post is don’t always assume the worse.
