Husband addicted to phone or something else?

Question

Update: well, I tried to go through his phone while he was asleep. But before I could really start looking he woke up and caught me. I didn’t see anything but I only opened like one app. He wasn’t mad he was just upset because now he thinks I don’t trust him. He told me I should’ve just talked to him about it bothering me and he would’ve just given me his phone. 
Let me start by saying I trust my husband and we’ve never had any issues of cheating or anything. 
I’m just getting weird vibes lately. Last night he got up to use the restroom, and usually I’m asleep. He picked up his phone and took it with him, it was like 3 in the morning. He never lets 
Me look at his phone, touch it and he points it away from me always. I respect his privacy and I respect him enough to not go through his phone but I’m so concerned.. I’ve talked to him about spending more time with me and our daughter and he agrees but then immediately gets sucked right back onto his phone. Am I over thinking?

I’m probably in the small minority here but if my partner was giving me any kind of red flags or mixed signals like this I would have no guilt going through his phone. Always trust your gut. Mine has never been wrong.

My dude takes his phone to the bathroom also. I do too mostly. Especially if I have to poop. But a 3 am pee session and taking the phone is too much. I’d be suspicious also. You need to ask him or just go through the damn phone. I hate this, “invasion of privacy” mentality. He’s your husband. That’s both of your phone lol

i understand everything u said but when u said he does not let u check his phone something aint right..my husband always on his phone and takes it with him wherever he goes but if i want to check it, grab , or hold it he will let me..so i think ur husband is hidding something

Girl I’m sorry, but follow your gut. I don’t even want to hear “don’t snoop, it’s his privacy” . You committed your life to him, share secrets, and let the man between your legs, what’s so different about a phone ? It’s different if you’re snooping just to snoop and make wild accusations, but if he’s giving you reasons to do it, then do it ! There should be nothing in his phone that he doesn’t want you to see. Sneak and do it while he’s asleep or catch him off guard . He won’t admit to being guilty on his own, so you’ll have to see for yourself. Good luck and I hope it’s nothing!

The not letting you look at it part is concerning. The rest seems fairly “normal” since we’re obsessed with our phones as a society.  I’ve had to talk with my husband about putting the phone down and paying attention to kids but he’s never been secretive about what he’s looking at.

No you’re not. Honestly those are the exact behaviors of someone who is cheating. Just because you haven’t seen anything before doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
