Am I overthinking ?

I had a baby 5 months ago today. My best friend since middle school just had her baby a few hours ago. My mom hasn’t really ever liked her because she used to like a lot of boys when we were young and then had a lot of boyfriends when we got older. Even now, her baby daddy is a random hookup she had out of spite, so my mom still dislikes her. BUT that’s none of my business and I could never disown her when her choices aren’t affecting me. However, my mom has never shyed away from judging her. I tried showing her a picture of the baby and was saying how I thought he was cute and how I was excited for her. And her response was “not as cute as my (my sons name)” and then asked what gender the baby was. I told her she had a boy like me and she just said “well (my sons name) is still cuter”. Like ??? I just don’t get it lol. It’s not a competition. Both babies can be (and both ARE) cute baby boys
