My son 17 year old was given back to his biological mother after 8 years of being in my foster care custody. He was taken away because her and her boyfriend physically and sexually abused him. After they put him back he was abused again. He called me telling me happy birthday as code for he was being abused again and his step dad knocked half his top teethe out and he has stitches on his mouth. When I first had him he would wet the bed every single night. We finally got him down to a couple nights a week. Some weeks he wouldn't wee at all. Well since I got him back, he's back to every single night. He wore nappies before when it was every night and when he got to a point where he could only use plastic sheets he was so happy. Now that it's back to every night I told him we should probably go back to nappies and he was so upset. I honestly don't want to cause anymore emotional pain than he already has...
