Help? Please

I been looking for temporary insurance until I get my license bewhiskered I have my permits but Geico canceled it for that reason so I been tryin to figure out what should I do

I’m also planning to ask my gmom to put me on her insurance for 2 months until I go that the driving test which is when I schedule it ( only available days they had due to COVID ) I will give here money for the two months for my part of the insurance do you think that’s a good idea ?
