I’m 20+6 weeks pregnant and me and the father of my child have just broken up. It was planned but since we found out I was pregnant (it happened quicker than anticipated) he has not been the same and tonight was the breaking point for me. He’s acted in a disgusting way so I have removed myself as I don’t want to bring a child up in that kind of environment and unless he agrees to stop drinking it is over for good.

I am lucky to be able to go back to my parents whilst I find my feet but I was wondering how you single mums cope. I’m not sure I will be able to financially support myself and my baby if I were to move out and get a mortgage, especially when I am on maternity leave and will not be earning my full wage. Wondering what others have done in this situation.
