Bio oil?!

We're any of you successful with bio oil? To fade away any stretch marks or try to prevent any?

Strech marks are all genetic if ur mama has then most likely ull get them not much u can do about it, lotions and oils are great to help with itching and such. Good luck

Bio oil contains carcinogenic and toxic ingredients, some of which are have been and are in the process of being banned by the EU.

My dermatologist said you should never use it especially when your pregnant. Stretch marks are genetic, you'll either get them or you won't. You can make them less irritated by keeping your skin hydrated inside and out though.

I use an organic oil along with Burt's Bees Mama Bee. I'm not far enough along to have stretch marks,  but my skin seems more elastic and is less itchy.

I used bio oil religiously when I was pregnant with my first, twice a day and still ended up with a tummy of stretch marks by 40wks. When I realized the bio oil wasn't working I also tried Cocoa butter which also didn't work. I guess it is down to our bodys and the elasticity of our skin :-)
