Stay at home parents and money…

My fiancé is a stay at home dad to our child who is six months old. He was getting unemployment because his place of work legitimately closed due to Covid and he’s been unsuccessful in finding a real job in his field of work. When his unemployment runs out we will have to figure out how to do our finances. I just want feedback from other households that have a stay at home parent. what has worked for you all and what has not worked for you all… we don’t have a joint account.

I will add that i am the one that has more of a money spending habit than he does. he is much more strict with a budget and saving money so if we did anything like an allowance it would be myself getting the allowance if that’s what you even want call it??

I would never want him to feel like he did not have access to money or belittled or any way that he could have feelings about it,
