Help? Growth spurt maybe?

My baby is 2 months old and he has only been eating 2 or 3 ounces sometimes and then 5oz other times. He typically eats 5oz every 3 hours. Idk if I need to space his feedings out more? But he’s usually crying and rooting when hungry and then only eating 2-3oz.

My little girl is 8 weeks old and she does this she doesn’t always take the 5oz it’s always less especially throughout the night it’s 2 or 3. I just let her tell me what she wants if she shows she’s hungry an hour or so later then I let her finish her bottle

It’s normal . My daughter does this but I always let her eat what she wants and after 30 min to 1hr after her initial feeding I will offer her the bottle again and she’ll usually finish it. Just listen to your baby, they won’t always eat the same or even at the same time.
