Can having surgery make your period heavy?

Hello there. I had surgery on the 23, and happened to start my period that day as well. It’s been two days now and it’s been really heavy which is abnormal for me. Can surgery cause it be heavier?

Anything traumatic to the body, can of course cause your cycles to change, if you masturbate or do heavy activity or exercise or have sex etc. before your cycle, it’s kind of understandable that your cycle is going to be heavier, or if you do it during your cycle, if you have a Covid vaccine, if you end up getting sick, if you get Covid itself, I had an epidural for pain during my cycle, and I bled for 50 days straight. Surgery is trauma to the body, so of course it can affect your cycle. Stress, anxiety, lack of sleep, depression, antibiotics, birth control, age, hormonal changes, so many things can affect your cycle
