Safe to eat tuna?

So for the longest time I thought I couldn't eat tuna cause of murcury in it. Finally after craving it all the time, I googled it. Google said it's safe to eat tuna while pregnant since its low in murcury. But to eat with moderation. Do any of you ladies eat tuna?

I eat tuna every once in awhile as long as your not eating it everyday you're fine!

Eat canned chunk light tuna. It has lower levels of mercury than others. You can have it every once in a while! I was worried for a while and didn't eat it but I just said screw it and eat it now. Just don't eat it multiple times a week and you should be good! It has a ton of protein and other stuff that is really good for baby!

I read you can eat 1 can of tuna a week..even the sheet my doctor said you can eat it in moderation. I would just eat the wild tuna not farm raised

As long as it's not albacore. If it is, just don't eat a lot of it or often. Chunk light tuna is from smaller tuna and the smaller ones contain less mercury.

yes. I was craving it bad too. I went to a nutritionist for this pregnancy and they said as long as I'm not eating more than a couple cans a week it's totally fine.

Eat the "light" tuna instead of "white or albacore" the light has less mercury than white. Also any tuna DOES contain mercury, they say to limit it to 12oz a week, that's 2 cans I believe. If you are eating white/albacore eat only 6oz a week.

It's fine. Just in moderation. I think even once a week is fine (I could be wrong!) I just ate a tuna sandwich today
