My SO and I did the BD last night (he's very set on having a baby) (I am too BTW) and as we were laying there pillow talking he looks over at me and said if there was ever any complications with you or the baby, I would have to save you.

I looked at him so dumbfounded and said "what?"

He said "that is the answer to the question you asked me long ago, if anything ever happened and you had to choose for me to save you or the baby, I would have to save you"

Well needless to say I didn't know what to think or even say after that. I told him that a baby is all's he ever wanted so save the baby.

He told me a FAMILY is what he's always wanted and w/o me the family would be incomplete and we could always try later.

I started to tear up, I asked him what if that was our only chance to have a baby, he told me he already has 2 beautiful little girls and that would be perfect too.

Fyi- I have 2 daughters from previous marriage that their father is put away for long time. My fiance and I have been together 2 years and my daughters look up to him as a dad more than their own. He has raised these girls like his own I just know he wants one of his own and I want to give him one

But the question is

If there was complications with the pregnancy and you could only save one who would it be and why?
