I'm ready BUT he wants to wait

So we decided to start trying this month. I was super excited, and I'm more than ready for a baby. BUT now he thinks we should wait. He was ready when we talked about weeks ago and set up our doctor's appointment. I'm 23 and all my friends are younger. I can't really talk to them because they think having a baby right now is "gross" (their words not mine). I'm feeling pretty disappointed.
