Broke up but still together???

I'm not really sure what's going on. He broke up with me 3 days ago. BUT we are still sleeping in the same bed, even though he has his own room. His things are still in my room (clothes and such). He still tells me that he loves me. He still kisses me goodbye in the morning before he goes to work just like he did before we broke up. If we are both okay with the behavior that is going on, why is it that we needed to break up? I don't get it.
