How did you get over your narcissistic ex ?

Currently mine cut me off cold and told me he doesn’t love me and never did. And that I’m a loser bitch, life ruiner. That his life was so much easier before me. The List goes on and he lacks accountability. His words definitely hurt. He was physically abusive to. So currently he has me blocked and won’t talk to me. I did nothing wrong. We do have two babies together . So how do I get over it? While I knew the relationship was over …I guess what hurts is what he said last to me and how he cut me off completely last and the fact it’s Just been abusive all the way around.  Advice .

Block and delete him on everything, do not take him back, even if you miss him, because often times people who are narcissistic mess with your emotions, your self-esteem, your self-worth, and you feel like that’s as good as it’s going to get, you feel like you’re never good enough, you feel like you don’t deserve happiness, you feel like you don’t deserve better, etc. I was with my piece of shit ex for five years, he slept with half of our town behind my back, he use me for everything under the sun, he was in love with me, he was in love with my bank account whatever I can provide for him. I cleaned up his messes, I made him a better man, you name it I did it, I was emotionally attached due to having two miscarriages, and he knew I wasn’t going anywhere so he could get away with murder. We didn’t live together, so the minute I would go home, he would go out to the bars and pick up women. The way I got over him, was I learn to love myself, I learn to date myself, I learn to pamper myself, I kept myself busy, and I still missedJackass, I missed him for over a year￼￼. Any moment of silence, I miss jack ass went through my head. I finally realized I live deserved better, I deserve happiness, I stop playing a victim, I became victorious, a warrior, survivor, I stopped tolerating bullshit, I called the shots, no more allowing men to dictate the relationship or leave me hanging wondering what are we, relationship taught me to stop tolerating bullshit. He told me what I didn’t want, the relationship made me a stronger person, it made me independent, and made me stop caring about what people think of me, it made me I want better in life. And so many ways. It ended December 2017, I took all of 2018 to heal, by 2019 I was ready to start dating again, I still wasn’t over him, but I know I had to at least put my foot in the water. I Dated two guys, they basically just wanted to use me and get in my pants so that didn’t happen by October 2019, I met a decent man, I was with him for quite some time, and I called the shots. I said I don’t do hook ups, I don’t do friends with benefits, I’m a relationship person and if you’re not down with that, then I don’t waste my time. He said OK we’re boyfriend and girlfriend right now. If he wants to be with you, and at least at weeds out the ones who are pump and dump. I told him I don’t tolerate bullshit. I do not chase after man, Effort and consistency￼￼ Are important to me, if you don’t make the effort, you will not hear from me, I will match your effort. And I told her to every single man. I’m currently dating a lawyer. Been with him for the last year and a half. I just take it as it comes. By February 2020 I was finally over jack ass. When I finally caught feelings for the guy that I had started dating in October 2019. It took from December 2017 until February 2020 to get over him. It takes time. Keep yourself busy, don’t cry over him, he’s not worth it, surround yourself with loving and supportive people, spend time with friends and family, get a pet, they are better companions and more loyal and treat you better, and on top of that it will get you out of the house to exercise walking the dog. Exercise is great, your brain releases hormones and endorphins and serotonin and dopamine all the feel good hormones, that make you feel better naturally. Journaling, screaming into a pillow, yoga, sleeping, exercise, pampering yourself, manicures and pedicures and bubble baths and drinking wine, taking up hobbies, painting, taking a class at a local community college, learning a language, volunteering is excellent, it’s like a makeover for the soul, it makes you stop focusing on your own problems, it makes you realize there’s a bigger world out there than just the four walls of your home, and it makes you grateful that you don’t have to deal with what they have to deal with. And it makes you appreciate life more. Feeding the homeless at a soup kitchen, Habitat for Humanity for people who’ve lost their homes, reading to the blind, etc. and you never know where to meet someone, shared interest, and an activity, I didn’t fall in love the first time until I was in my 30s, I was with him for a year and a half, and it took me a year and a half to get over him, I read books constantly, anything I could get my hands on I didn’t care what it was from Fifty Shades of Grey to Every Nicholas Sparks book, you name it. And my second love which was jack ass, exercise with my life boat really. I walked and danced my sadness away, I dropped wait, that I had gained from the pregnancies and miscarriages on top of eating out every single night with him, I dropped almost 100 pounds. That was my saving grace in reality. Exercise was definitely my life boat. Love yourself, take care of yourself, never allow loneliness or desperation to be the reason that you settle for less than you deserve. And remember when your self-esteem and your self-worth is high, you attract higher quality people, when your self-esteem and your self-worth is low, you settle for whatever crap will have you. Life is what you make it, if you aren’t happy, you change what you can, and what you can’t change, you learn to love, accept, and embrace yourself flaws and all. Take it one day at a time, a bad day doesn’t mean everything’s over, tomorrow is another day to try again. We all have good days and bad days, give yourself some grace in space on those days and not be so hard on yourself. One day at a time￼
