Postpartum spotting?

I am 10w3d postpartum. Mainly breastfeeding but we do supplement with formula two-three times a day. Sometimes my hubby lets me sleep or we give baby a bottle when he comes home from work, etc.

I’ve had cramps for a while and yesterday I had bright red spotting when I went to the bathroom. I put in a tampon assuming my period was back but when I took it out there wasn’t really much on it.

I put a pad on for the night and nothing. Today, when I went out I used a tampon since I was cramping again and still nothing.

I’m confused 🤷‍♀️ is this normal? Should I expect my period or was the small amount of spotting a fluke? I’m definitely not pregnant. We’ve had sex twice a month ago and used a condom both times lol
