Not sure what to do.

Not sure if this is allowed here or not. But I’m in a bind.

So I worked for a business and the business is owned by my fiancé’s uncle. We’ll long story short, the job didn’t work out. Fast forward to now, over 4 months later and I’m still waiting for them to pay me my last paycheck. They keep telling me “they don’t have enough funds”, every time I ask about it (which isn’t often, I’ve asked about it maybe 4 times in these last 4 months). But I’m constantly seeing them going out on little vacations and stuff, buying new expensive things, working on new jobs, etc. And I’m just getting frustrated now… it’s not like it’s only a couple hundred dollars… we’re talking almost a thousand dollars. And my daughter’s 1st birthday is in exactly 3 weeks, and I literally can’t even afford to get her anything.

Last time I asked was October 1st, and I got the response back “Hello, I’m at work right now, I’ll have to wait until I get off to see what’s on the books.”, and haven’t heard anything back.

I just don’t know what to do… I can’t go off and demand it because I don’t want to cause problems with my future family… but I really really need this money… what do I do?
