Thank the mother fucking lord it’s friday

I take care of my 4 nieces and nephews during the week so their parents can work… Today the oldest 2 didn’t have school so they’re all home.

For starters the mom had to open at her work this entire week. The original plan was that I would have to be here an hour earlier than usual this entire week but that today would be a regular day…. Then I get a text at 8pm last night that she had to open today as well so I get here and hour earlier today too.

Then the oldest (8) is causing problems pretty much from the minute she wakes up and is antagonizing every single fight between her and her other siblings.

I put the youngest down for a nap at 9am (he’s 10 months old) and the 8 year old yelled at me every 10 minutes for 2 hours straight to wake him up because she wanted to go to the park. I told her over and over that he’s a baby and needs his sleep and I’m going to let him sleep as long as he needs to because he didn’t sleep well at all the night before because of teething (his normal naps are around 2-2.5 hours)

I sent the 3 other kids outside (8,6,4) to play because they were being too loud in the house and I started making them lunch to pack for the park so they could have a picnic

The 8 year old comes inside and asks me to go out with them and I explained that I can’t because I’m making their lunch. She gets an attitude and goes “you’re not even doing anything”… I really didn’t want to take away going to the park for the other kids so I just ignored it and sent her back outside.

The baby wakes up around 12:15 and by 1 we are at the park. Right off the bat all 3 kids are fighting and I gave them 1 warning that if they keep fighting then we would be going right home. They’re not just fighting,,, they’re like trying to push each other down the slides and kick each other to hurt each other. So I make them all sit down and eat their food because I’m like WHAT THE FUCK!! Like they’ve GOTTA be acting like this because their hungry right?????

They finish up and I put the baby in one of the swings and I have my back turned away from the jungle gym part pushing the baby

The 6 year old is underneath the jungle gym and sees that there are holes on the parts of the jungle gym that you walk on to get to the slides and what not. So she starts messing with them and she’s sticking her fingers through the holes pretending to be a little worm coming out of the hole… it was actually really cute!!!!

Then the 8 year old comes over and literally stomps the fuck out of her finger when it’s sticking out of the hole!!! I literally thought she broke her finger at first!!!

So I pack up everything because I’m furious at this point. I asked her why she did that and her only excuse was that her brother (4) told her to do it. So I was like “[name] you are 8 years old!!!! You know better than to stomp on someone’s finger on purpose!! You KNOW that stomping on someone’s finger is going to hurt them!!!” So we started walking home and the mom pulls up because she’s home for her lunch break. I sent the 8 year old inside to go to her room and I tell the mom everything that’s been going on today.

The 8 year old hears her mom is home and comes downstairs and the mom. Does. Absolutely. Nothing. 😐 she didn’t take away privileges, she didn’t make her apologize, she didn’t send her back to her room. NOTHINGGG

I’m losing my absolute mind today

When the mom left she let me know as she was walking out the door that she has to close tonight too so I get to spend a total of 12 hours here 😑😑😑
