Period after Modena IUD Removal

I got my Mirena IUD removed on Oct. 1st. I started my period on Oct. 4th, which was last Monday. it has now been 8 days, and it’s still very heavy and does not seem like it’s going to stop soon. I’ve tried looking it up and it says that only light bleeding and cramps should happen a few days after removal of the IUD but not any heavy bleeding or pain, however I’ve had both and something kind of seems off. Maybe I’m just overreacting, but I thought I’d ask y’all’s opinions. I will probably call my doctor if it lasts any more than 2 more days.
