He won’t accept me ?

I was on the phone with my boyfriend, he was going to send me a link to something and asked if I had WhatsApp (he has it). I said no but that I will make one so he can send me the link. He said well if you’ll make one I’ll make an ig account and snapchat (apps I have) He actually made an ig account. I didn’t actually make an account for WhatsApp but he end up making the ig account. I didn’t believe, he had actually made one as he had one but stopped using it and has gone around 3 years without one. Well I searched him up and yeah he came up and I started following him, I told him to follow me back and he clicked on my account and saw the amount of followers and people I’m following, he didn’t really like that it was around 115-140 each. I told him to follow me and he straight up said no. That he didn’t want to be just another one of the many people I’m following/following me. He didn’t so I just unfollowed him. Also have in mind that on his previous account he was following me and when I had more people (I deleted a lot of people).

Is it stupid for me to get sad over something so dumb? That he won’t follow me on Instagram?
