Blighted ovum - feeling crushed

Went in for my first ultrasound today at 10W 4D and there was no fetus present, just a gestational sac. 2nd US by a specialist confirmed no fetus. I am positive about our conception date as I’ve always had regular periods and tested hcg levels at week 6 and they were doubling as expected. Also took the sneakpeek gender test 4 days ago and it said we were having a boy, which doesn’t make sense since there is no embryo.

This was our first try at getting pregnant and we got pregnant right away. Everything with the pregnancy appeared to be going normally so this was completely unexpected. Feeling totally devastated and uncertain about what’s next. Was told I’ll need a D&C and I am little concerned I may also have an ectopic pregnancy since there was fetal dna in my gender test but no fetus in the uterus.

Has anyone had a BO and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? How long did it take? Could really use some encouragement or advice on coping with miscarriage.
