Threatened miscarriage

Went to the ER for some bleeding, ultrasound only showed a a gestational sac, no yolk sac. Five weeks and 4 days I think. HCG levels were 1000. Should I prepare myself for the worst? Has anyone else just had a gestational sac at 5 weeks ?
