Old Wives’ Tales to Kickstart Labor?

I don’t know about the rest of you ladies, but at 39 weeks I am so done being pregnant. I just want this kid out. And since I had to have a c-section last time they won’t induce again. So at 41 weeks and 1 day I’m having a c-section if I can’t get this baby out beforehand. 
My doctor said that there’s not really any guaranteed way to start labor with old wives’ tales, but I’m curious just the same to try some. It can only help! Has anyone had luck with them? Any suggestions on what to try?

Don’t use castor oil! It causes baby to have a BM and they can swallow it causing an awful infection.

I mean I tried all the things - sex, walking, spicy foods, RRL tea. Nothing worked. I finally chose elective induction for my vbac. Is there a reason they won’t even consider that before jumping right to another csection? ACOG supports induced vbacs

I was overdue with my first. My husband heard that a good foot massage could set of labor, so he sent me for a pedicure. My labor broke 6 hours later. I’m sure it’s a coincidence, but it can’t hurt to try it! Plus, I had nice, pretty feet to look at while I was pushing. 😂

My dr told me to start having sex. She said thats the only thing known to help labor 🤷🏼‍♀️ Ive also been rolling around on an exercise ball and plan to start walking

Go on lots of walks eat lots of dates they help or pineapple

I used my breast pump and Kickstarted labor with both of my pregnancies. I bounced on an exercise ball while pumping in 10 minute intervals for a couple hours (it definitely got uncomfortable but worked great) contractions started almost immediately very regularly. After I stopped, they slowed down a bit and almost faced but both times contractions started back up after a few hours, got stronger, and didn't stop. I was off to the hospital. 1st time I was 39w6d second time I was 38w2d (I wanted to avoid a scheduled induction...it worked lol)

Prenatal massage with a masseuse who will push all the labor points hard. It might have been a coincidence, but it worked twice for me. Best of luck! You’re so close.

Scrub the kitchen floor on your hands and knees.  Sounds like hell but apparently it helps move baby down to get labor started
