Painful induction! Is it supposed to be this bad?

FTM and having a Foley cath induction. About 2-3 hours after my Foley was placed Ive had horrible "contractions" no idea of they are or not I'm temporarily off the monitors but I asked for pain meds after they placed the cath cause it hurt so much(I was open but my cervix wouldn't cooperate) and I feel like if I ask for them again I'm being dramatic cause when it's calm it's ok but I feel like I'm dying at the height of the pain and pressure. I want to try to do as much of this as I can with out pain meds but I really didn't expect this part to be so horrible.

UPDATE: as soon as the Foley fell out my pain was gone on pitocin now and having mild contractions but they aren't severely painful or anything more just uncomfortable. Trying to go as long as possible without pain meds!
