What should i expect from first ultrasound

I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow, i’m 8 weeks. I am so nervous. this is my second pregnancy but with my first i was 16 years old and i honestly blacked most of my pregnancy out. Im terrified of anything going in my vagina, im scared of blood draws, i’m honestly just a nervous wreck & i’m scared of it all. how should i prepare??

If they’re doing a vaginal ultrasound just relax as much as you possibly can and don’t tense up because it’ll cause discomfort for you. Make sure you eat before you have any blood draws so that way you’re not feeling faint afterwards. They will mostly just go over everything at the first appointment and there will be a lot of going over your health history and a lot of listening to information. They’ll give you samples of products, papers with information, lists of medicines with things to take and not to take, etc. They might ask you questions like if you’re planning on breastfeeding or planning on updating shots/vaccines while pregnant and these you don’t need to know at the moment, they just ask so they’ll know if you already know 😂  they might talk to you about genetic testings and tests for gender determination. Besides the vaginal ultrasound, I did not have anyone touching me at my first visit.
