Only gest sac. at 5 weeks 5 days??

Question

On Tuesday I had my first us. Thinking that we were 6 weeks 5 days.... We were only able to see an empty sac that measured 5 weeks, 5 days. I'm beyond worried. The nurse did not say much, just scheduled us for another us, next week. Has anyone experienced this and been okay? This is our first baby and first pregnancy. I'm making myself crazy.

Could just be that you ovulated later than you thought. If there's nothing in a week or two, though, it may be a blighted ovum. Hope that's not the case an you see a little heartbeat next time! Good luck!

That happen to me and they due ultrasounds every week until they see a heartbeat just be patient and good luck

I went in at about 5 weeks as well and was only a sac. I went about a week and a half later and they were able to measure it as 8 weeks and it was a bean visible by then (: good luck ! don't worry xx

Sounds normal exactly what happen to me went back a week later saw a little peanut and a heartbeat don't stress out too much.

It's perfectly normal. The same thing happened to me and two weeks later I was able to see more than a heart beat !! It's incredible how much they grow in suck a little time. Don't stress it, you will be fine😁 good luck to you
