Postpartum bleeding 🩸

Hi ladies I’m 12 days postpartum and had a normal vaginal delivery. My bleeding after birth was manageable, not on the heavy side and felt like a light period. Today when I was moving about, I felt a gush of bleeding and went to toilet to find my pad was all soaked. When I wiped I also noticed a small clot, I understand the body gets rid of extra blood and tissue but is it normal for it to start off light and then heavier? I thought it’s the other way round, where the bleeding gets lighter over the weeks? Has anyone experienced this or able to advise? I don’t have any cramps or anything just worried as a new mum x
