Ohio WIC please help

I live in Ohio and am planning to get WIC when my baby is born, as I am unable to breastfeed due to medications. They said I have to wait until she’s born to apply (I could apply for myself before then but I don’t need it until I need formula!).

I’m curious as to what formula they automatically give to babies? I think they just recently switched to Emfamil, so would they give just they regular Enfamil Infant (yellow can that says infant)?

Also, how many cans do you get a month and how long does that last you? How many do you have to buy yourself usually?

Also! How long did it take you to get approved/receive benefits? I’m on maternity leave and am unpaid until I go back to work, so any formula I need will come out of my leave budget, which isn’t huge..

EDIT: it’s too late to just apply now for myself. I asked them multiple times and each time they said I’d have to redo the process when the baby is born. I am being induced tomorrow. That’s not my question.
