Who has done it?

Those that have babies that are already 6 months, have you done blw? What have you tried? What was first? My guy with be 6 months tomorrow, I wanna try but I’m scared af to be honest.. he’s ready to eat tho. He’s had purées, and I’ve given him the little pouch with holes that he he can squeeze food out of.. he loves bananas and sweet potatoes.

My LO turned 6 months on the 14th and we started blw the same day! So far he’s tried, avocado, oatmeal, banana, sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower, bell pepper, applesauce, blueberries, raspberries, pasta, muffin, tortilla, pico, chicken and brisket lol. We really just let him try everything we eat and just make sure it’s served appropriately for him! I wouldn’t say he’s actually ate a large quantity of what we’ve given but he’s tried everything and mostly explored the textures with his hands and mouth which is most important just starting out!

My little guy literally eats everything we do just cut up appropriately. We skipped the whole purée stage itself and have done BLW. He has done great! Definitely give it a go, and honestly baby might sleep really good at night having an actual full tummy of food plus milk right before bed if that’s the route you go. Goodluck!

I've tried banana, avocado, and shredded cheese so far. He mostly just smashed the banana & avocado (only got a tiny bit in his mouth). The shredded cheese he played with.

We do BLW with our almost 7 month old and have also gone this route for our 2 year old and 3 year old. 
We currently only offer food at dinner time but will be introducing another meal in a few weeks. 
We just make sure food is cut appropriately (strips and round food quartered) 
You'll be surprised just how much a baby can eat with very little to no teeth 😂

I do a mix of purées and blw
Mostly toast, fruit, meat, pasta. And other foods I do mashed but there’s still chunks.

We have. You need to be well informed to cut the food properly. It's scary at the beginning, but I'm more scared of a picky eater later on. Good luck and enjoy the meals together

Avocado, bananas, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, chicken, sometimes rice. Anything I eat he wants some lol. Blended fruits. Peaches, mashed potatoes
