Health anxiety attack- talk me off the ledge :(
So today I had a panic attack.
I’ve never had normal periods in my life. I’m age 23 and they’re still super irregular. I went to the gyno when I was 19 and she said I am perfectly healthy, no PCOS, I just need to reduce stress and gain some weight. Fast forward, I had a time frame of like a year where it regulated and then I started a new job that created a lot of stress and it went back to me getting one every 4-6 months.
I also have hair growing strange places, mood swings, and digestive issues. I went to a holistic doc and she said stress can cause hormonal imbalance, all of which can cause those symptoms. I was told I did not have PCOS.
My friends in med school are scaring me. ‘You have endometriosis’. ‘You have a pituitary tumor.’ (Had an MRI done of my head 3 years ago after I fell and that was clear). I’m terrified of the worst and I don’t know why. But I’m actuality, I really am a stressed out person and I find that a lot of my anxiety shows itself in physical health symptoms for me.
I know I’m healthy; so why am I killing myself????
