Doula?

Question

So my friend asked me if she can be my doula.  I don't know much about this area and was wondering who may have one or was looking into one. And are your thoughts on them ?

They are amazing, if trained to be a doula... And doula is also another term for a birthing coach. They do counter pressure on your back to help ease pain, and help you with anything you may need or want during labor. They usually are trained, or take classes with you and are there for support. If you are trying for am all natural birth, why not have someone as am amazing support system? Ask her what she's intending to do during the birth and decide from there.

My husband and I are planning to hire one in January when we start our Bradley classes. I feel it's important to have an advocate that will make sure all my needs are met during delivery and post delivery.b

They're great!! Very helpful. If it weren't for mine, I wouldn't have been able to have a natural birth. She kept me going strong. And informed me of what the doctors meant and/or were saying.

My husband and I are so thankful we hired one!!! She's been incredible so far and I am so excited she'll be with us when our baby boy arrives!
