Was this my fault for not asking or communicating ?

My bf left to a wedding without me!

Ok this is the story. Last month, my boyfriend told me about a wedding in Mexico. His cousin is getting married this weekend. We were planning on leaving on Thursday night. We never got tickets until he confirmed me the exact flight and he’d ask for the days at work. We were planning on getting tickets this past weekend but that’s when we fought.

So where we going it’s hot right now. I asked him what the weather was like so I know what kind of dress to wear. I never been to Mexico. Lol. I do know that the violence is bad so this is where it gets tricky. I told him I’d wear a nice beach dress. The reception is nice. He didn’t like it and told me I couldn’t take that…I thought it was because of the violence but now he was upset I was taking “sexy” dresses . So I showed him another option. He told me that if those were the options to not even bother going. I didn’t know what to say. He just stopped talking to me …this happened Saturday.

Maybe I should have texted him to see if we were still going to go but maybe my pride was too much.

So he never reached out since Saturday. I have his family on Instagram and one cousin messaged me right now “I thought you were coming?” I told her no I had work. I didn’t know what else’s to say. Then she says “(boyfriends name) is here and we thought you’d come but he didn’t say much”

Wow…he’s over there like a single man😞😢 like how could he ditch me like that
