Possible endometriosis ?

So when I was younger, I struggled with somewhat irregular periods (not anything drastic, but I could never predict it) and a lot of pain during my period and sometimes randomly in the middle of my cycle. They never really found a culprit but when I went on birth control, things got better and it didn’t bother me anymore. I went off and on birth control a few times from high school to college. Fast forward to this year: I have been married for about a year and a half now, and have been on birth control for a few months longer. The symptoms that I had in high school had started coming back even while on birth control. It started in August when I started having some spotting in the middle of my cycle that happened for a few months. I went to my gynecologist and they found cysts on both my ovaries. They did blood tests and everything came back normal so they ruled out PCOS. They just told me to wait it out another cycle or two to see what happens. I haven’t had any spotting since then, but the cramps I’ve been having on my period have been the most intense, painful things I’ve ever experienced. It seems to be exaggerated with bowel movements. Yesterday the cramps were so bad I literally could not get out of bed or move. I have never been pregnant or experienced labor, but I could not imagine any pain that could be worse than what I was experiencing (even though labor very well may be, I don’t know 😂😂). I called my gynecologist again for a follow up and will go back in a few weeks. But I’m worried I may have endometriosis. It just scares me as my husband and I are planning on trying to conceive in a few months and I’m afraid of that diagnosis since I know infertility can be an issue with endometriosis. 😔 Anyone have any advice or experiencing something like this right now?
