Nursing as a career?

Hii! I am currently a high school student however I am seriously looking into nursing as a future career. I know that I am a bit young (17),however I work really hard in school and am a straight A student. I joined a program at my school that does healthcare occupation training my freshman year so this year I can take the CNA exam and hopefully pass so I can do summer internships and stuff. I have always been interested in healthcare, however I don't think anyone else in my family took me seriously about it. Ever since I joined the program at my school my parents have been saying things like "you will regret becoming a nurse" or "how will you have a healthy relationship and family" or "maybe you should consider something that has better hours". I understand that becoming a nursing major in college and pursuing it as a career will be a challenge, and I am well aware that the job will be tough. However, now I'm unsure. I strive to please my parents, and I thought that if anything they would be happy that I want to go into the med field. I just dont know what to do. 🤷‍♀️
