How Do You Feel About Sex?

Question

On a scale of one to ten, how important is it to you? And WHY is it/is it not important to you?

* Point of view from a married couple of 6 years in their late 20’s early 30’s with a toddler, one on the way, and a husband on a night shift schedule lol. *
5 for me. 🤷‍♀️ 
Important enough I make the time with my husband because I do feel connected to him when we do spend that intimate time together and it makes us both happy / feel good. I never regret that time even though sometimes I really don’t think I’m up for it. 
But not important enough that if it doesn’t happen for a while it’s not a big deal.

Sex is probably like 5 I don’t NEED sex. But I rank physical intimacy higher. Like 7 or 8. I think physically intimacy is what puts my relationship above a friendship. If we didn’t have that, my husband and I would be friends. But sex takes it to the next level. His love language is physical touch and mine is quality time so it’s also a good way for us to show our love for one another. I’ve also found that we tend to fight and bicker more the less we have any type of physical intimacy.

I think it’s very important in a relationship, the emotional connection most certainly, whether or not people climax, especially women, women tend to obviously do it more for the connection with their partner, feeling close, feeling needed, feeling wanted, feeling desired, feeling validation, feeling acceptance, etc. For me it would be at least an eight or nine, I need to feel that passion that urgency that all over each other The minute that you walk through the door. It’s intense, it’s an amazing feeling, I think a lot of women especially the more complicated your life is, with kids or just for relationship issues or infidelity or money problems or whatever else it may be, it tends to be a lesser number, obviously the more kids you have, the less sleep you get, the more stress or anxiety or mental health issues, the more unhappy you are in a relationship, they never goes less than less. Especially when you’re not feeling supported by your partner, you’re not feeling connected to your partner, you’re not feeling really secure in the relationship, or in your own body, sex is both psychological as well as physical, if you’re too busy thinking about all the things that you didn’t have time to do today, how can you enjoy it. There are so many women who don’t even climax, but they do it just because two basically suck it up and take one for the team, to place their partner, or get it over with, There are many many reasons. But relationships are what you make them￼￼￼. Some people have that honeymoon phase very early on in a relationship, and then things get comfortable, or people start making the effort, or get lazy or flip the script and a woman does all the effort, and chases after him, while he does the minimal, there’s so many other different types of relationships. Or people live like roommates basically, but for me myself, it’s still like day one. That passion and intensity. I’m a year and four months in with my partner maybe five I can’t remember. But for me either Hass to be sexual chemistry. Throughout the relationship. I have a very high sex drive and so does my partner. ￼

Probably a 3; I hate having sex with my husband, so I actively avoid it. Before I got married (virgin until marriage), I would have rated it at an 8 because I wanted to have sex and have a healthy sex life but 🤷‍♀️

I would say a 9-10 for me. And not because of the sex pleasure itself. I just feel really connected to my significant other when we do have sex.
