9 pounds at 38 weeks!

Had my growth scan today with radiology and they said that baby girl was measuring 40 weeks 1 day and I’m actually only 38 weeks 0 days today and also she is measuring 9 pounds. Then met with my doctor afterward that ultrasound and I asked her if I could have a cervix check because ya know I am curious if I am dialated at all especially with me measuring ahead and baby already being 9 pounds…. But she said that she was not going to check my cervix because I was not dialated at 37 weeks and because I am not having any contractions and because it really just isn’t comfortable and could cause pain. I understand it’s not necessary to do a cervix check and that being dialated can mean nothing or whatever the case may be but I still would like to know if I am dialating at all mainly because I live over an hour from my hospital, this is my first baby and I just don’t know what to expect or what I am feeling at all. But whatever! Also it was pretty shocking to me that the doctor knew baby was measuring ahead and that she was estimating to weigh about 9 pounds but doctor didn’t even mention anything about scheduling a c-section, inducing me or even doing a membrane sweep.. I guess I just expected a lot more. Am I wrong for being upset? I mean I feel like I got NO answers. Just told that I’m going to have a big baby and call the labor line if I have signs of labor… 😒
